Syd's 5th Birthday Party

On June 14th, Syd turned 5 years old. In typical Burns fashion, we decided to go all out. We invited all the neighborhood kids and all of Syd's friends from school. We ended up with around 20 kids. Syd chose SpongeBob for the theme and for the occassion we had a picnic lunch (burgers & dogs with some salads and fruit) and set up Syd's birthday present... a waterslide. We also set up a couple of smaller pools for the kids who wanted their fun to be a little less adventurous. The kids had a ball. We barely got them to eat. And we think the parents had fun, though I'm sure they all wish we had more shade in our yard... it was a hot one. Here are some photos from the day.
